Pure Technologies is the industry leader in concrete pressure pipe (CPP) management, developing and implementing some of the largest pipeline management programs in North America. We have assessed over 4,000 miles (6,500 kilometers) of CPP with a wide variety of designs and operational requirements, and currently monitor over 600 miles (1,000 kilometers) of prestressed pipe. In addition, Pure has implemented an ongoing multi-million dollar research program dedicated to the assessment and management of prestressed concrete cylinder pipe (PCCP).

In order to make defensible rehabilitation decisions, pipeline owners need actionable information about the condition of their CPP. Pure’s solutions for CPP management can accurately identify wire wrap breaks in PCCP, as well as bar wrap breaks and steel cylinder corrosion in bar wrapped pipe (BWP). These forms of deterioration represent the primary failure modes in these types of pipe. Our inspection technologies can also meet a variety of operation requirements while maintaining a high resolution data output.

Through both extensive project experience and research and development, Pure has developed a practical, scientifically defensible technology-based approach for managing CPP that has been adopted by some of the largest utilities across North America.
