Project Engineers/Technologists

Location: Calgary, AB

Pure’s clients are located throughout the world and include owners and operators of water, wastewater, oil and gas pipelines, bridges, buildings, and other structures. The successful candidate will support the Engineering Operations group in the design, deployment and optimization of various monitoring systems within the pipeline, bridges and structures group.

Specific Responsibilities

  • review and design of Pure monitoring systems for various structures
  • hands-on inspection of water and wastewater pipelines including nondestructive testing and condition assessment using our proprietary SmartBall® Leak Detection, PipeDiverTM and Magnetic Flux Leakage (MFL) tools.
  • hands-on design, installation and maintenance of SoundPrint® bridges, building and structures monitoring sites
  • assisting in the installation and maintenance of SoundPrint® AFO monitoring systems
  • in-pipe inspection and installation of monitoring components
  • deployment of other proprietary Pure Technologies Inspection tools
  • remote analysis on performance of current monitoring sites
  • data and signal analysis of acoustic information
  • optimization of system parameters
  • commissioning of new monitoring equipment
  • supporting various engineering operation needs
  • review of pipeline drawings
  • report writing
  • occasional travel throughout North America and internationally maybe required

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or related engineering discipline. Or Diploma in Engineering Technology.

Work Experience

Minimum 2 to 4 years field experience in construction or engineering consulting background. Project management experience would be an asset.

The successful candidate should be interested in international travel and culture, be a practical problem solver, a good communicator, have hands on field experience, adapt well to new surroundings, have leadership skills, and enjoy responsibility. They should be an outgoing, engaging, and energetic looking to rapidly accelerate their career in an exciting new environment. Applicants must have a valid passport and able to travel internationally.
